Past Projects
COMPLETE! Bay Circuit Trail in the Doyle Link Reservation
With a DCR grant that we received to fund the materials, we've now re-routed the Bay Circuit Trail near the northern edge of the Doyle Link Reservation to create an exit further west along High Plain Road. This has the positive impact of moving a portion of the BCT off of High Plain Road and into the Doyle Link Reservation. This new BCT trail section will be officially opened and dedicated in the summer of 2016. |
COMPLETE: Boardwalk and viewing platform in Mars Swamp / Ward Reservation
The Andover Trails Committee, in conjunction with The Trustees of Reservations and the Bay Circuit Alliance, applied for and received a grant from the DCR to construct an elevated boardwalk and viewing platform across Mars Swamp in the Ward Reservation in Andover. In addition to serving as a new future route for the Bay Circuit Trail in this area (moving it off of Prospect Road and off of Route 125), there is an integrated platform / seating area for relaxing and bird/wildlife viewing. |
